Gregory Karasik, M.D.

From Russia to Bellevue via Cleveland.

That is the route Bellevue’s newest obstetrician took to become a member of The Bellevue Hospital’s active medical staff.
Gregory Karasik, M.D., begins his duties with the local facility on Monday, May 5. He is now accepting new patients, and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, with expertise in total women’s healthcare, including pregnancy and delivery, infertility, menopause, and pelvic surgery.

"I was looking for a change of pace, something a little quieter," said Dr. Karasik, while recounting how he became a part of The Bellevue Hospital team. "I saw a recruitment ad for the hospital, and phoned Marvin Rettig (vice president of development) to find out more. I was not only impressed with Marvin and the current hospital, but with the idea of possibly building a new hospital. That in itself was one of the main attractions for me," added Dr. Karasik.
